Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday, July 2, on an official visit for the first time since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Hungarian government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs on the social network X.

"Viktor Orban arrived in Kyiv this morning to discuss European peace with President Volodymyr Zelensky," he wrote.

Kovács added that the heads of state will discuss the possibilities of achieving peace, as well as current issues of Hungarian-Ukrainian bilateral relations.

As Ukrinform reported, on July 1, Hungary took over the baton from the Belgian EU presidency and took over the organization of the EU Council for the next six months.
