UK PM discusses support for Ukraine with European Commission president

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in a phone call discussed support for Ukraine.

This is said in a press release from the British government, Ukrinform reports.

“The Prime Minister spoke to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, today. The leaders discussed areas of close cooperation between the UK and the EU, including support for Ukraine, climate change and regional security,” the document reads.

Starmer also reiterated the support for Ukraine in phone calls with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

As reported by Ukrinform, in a phone call with U.S. President Joe Bide on Friday, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer underscored that the UK’s support for Ukraine is unwavering.
