Zelensky meets with new UK Prime Minister
The President of Ukraine said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“I held my first meeting with new UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. I thanked Prime Minister Starmer for all the UK’s military and financial assistance provided to our country. This morning, I learned about the permission to use Storm Shadow missiles against military targets in Russian territory. Today, we had the opportunity to discuss the practical implementation of this decision,” he posted.
Zelensky expressed gratitude for the unwavering support for Ukraine and Ukrainian people.
According to the President’s Office, the leaders also focused on further expanding Ukraine's long-range capabilities in cooperation with other partners. Zelensky noted the UK's leadership in the Maritime Capability Coalition.
The parties discussed the prospects for developing the Ukrainian Navy with the support of the UK.
Additionally, they paid particular attention to the results of the Peace Summit and the preparation of thematic conferences for the implementation of its decisions.
As Ukrinform previously reported, at a meeting in Washington, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz discussed the supply of additional Patriot air defense systems, the battlefield situation, and the implementation of the Peace Summit results.
