South Korea to expand assistance to Ukraine
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol announced this in Washington ahead of a meeting at the level of NATO heads of state and partners in the Indo-Pacific region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The South Korean President added that as part of this project, South Korea and NATO will also strengthen cooperation in combating hybrid threats and criminal cyber activity.
At the same time, the South Korean President mentioned the deepening military and economic ties between Russia and North Korea, which fueled Russia's war against Ukraine and created security threats on the Korean Peninsula.
He said that all of these challenges are a reminder that European, Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific security are inseparable.
As reported by Ukrinform, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that their countries need to strengthen security cooperation with NATO amid North Korea's deepening military ties with Russia.
