No peace talks possible without Russia, China - Czech president
The Czech leader spoke in an interview with ČTK, Radio Prague International reports.
The president of the Czech Republic believes that China should take major responsibility for the peaceful settlement of the Russo-Ukrainian war that would be based on rules, and not on who has stronger armed forces or economic power.
Pavel has previously said he expected a certain shift in Russia's war against Ukraine at the end of this year or early next year.
According to the Czech leader, the developments will be related to the outcome of elections in important countries around the world, primarily the presidential election in the USA.
Another factor he considers is war fatigue that he says affects both Russia and Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 3, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said Russia's dependence on China had grown to such an extent that Beijing could, if it wished so, end the war in Ukraine with one call from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Moscow.
