The Netherlands likely to increase funding for Ukraine in 2025
This is according to reports from Ukrinform, citing NOS.
"The government (of the Netherlands – ed.) may allocate more money for Ukraine next year," the report stated.
Prime Minister Dick Schoof mentioned this during a debate in the House of Representatives. He did not specify exact figures but affirmed that the Netherlands would continue providing assistance to Ukraine as needed.
The far-right PVV (Party for Freedom) expressed less enthusiasm for further support, but Schoof assured that this should not cause concern.
It is worth noting that there was a prior agreement that the Netherlands would continue to support Ukraine politically, militarily, and financially for as long as necessary.
As reported by Ukrinform, two opposition parties in the Netherlands recently called for Hungary’s suspension from the Schengen Area, citing Hungary’s issuance of visas to a large number of Russians without adequate background checks.
