President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at the European Council where he met with its President Charles Michel.

This was announced on Zelensky's official Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

As President of the European Council Charles Michel stated at a joint press conference with President Zelensky, the European Union understands that Ukraine needs more military and financial support, and that there is no uncertainty about this between Ukraine and the EU, reports an Ukrinform correspondent.

"President Zelensky will now share with us the Victory Plan, which we will be glad to hear," Michel noted.

He added that he has two messages for the Ukrainian people and their leader.

"First, the European Union is on your side for as long as it takes and whatever it takes. We know that you need more military and more financial support, and we will see how we can speed up the efforts for more immediate support for the people of Ukraine from all points of view," said the head of the European Council.

The second message refers to the fact that the future of Ukraine is destined to be within the European Union.

He pointed progress on the issue seen in the last month regarding the implementation of the necessary decisions and reforms.

Michel also recalled that winter is coming, and that a lot is happening around the world so the EU has to be honest as ever.

He stressed common values shared by the EU and Ukraine, reiterating the stance that the EU is on Ukraine’s side.

As reported by Ukrinform, European Parliament’s President Roberta Metsola welcomed Zelensky's peace plan.

President Zelensky has already arrived in Brussels, where he will present his peace plan at the meeting of the European Council and at the European Parliament.
