Ukrainians to always side with Georgian people - Zelensky meets Zurabishvili in Paris
He said this at a meeting with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili in Paris, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We remain with the Georgian people and believe in your European future – the EU and NATO membership. We are closely following everything that is happening. The independent Georgian people are showing that they want to move away from Russia," Zelensky noted, adding that partnership will make both states stronger in the future.
In turn, Salome Zurabishvili thanked the head of the Ukrainian state for support, saying that such a position on the part of Ukraine inspires Georgians to continue their resistance.
Later on Saturday, the Ukrainian leader will be received by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace. Prior to that, Macron will meet with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
As reported, heads of state and government from about 40 countries arrived in Paris for the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who arrived in Paris on Saturday, will hold a number of bilateral meetings during the day. In particular, he has already held a meetin with Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Karl Nehammer.
