Macron reiterates necessity to continue joint efforts for peace following meeting with Zelensky, Trump

After the meeting at the Élysée Palace with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that it is necessary to continue joint efforts for peace.

"Let’s continue our joint actions for peace and security," Macron wrote on his X page, as reported by Ukrinform.

He noted that the United States, Ukraine, and France gathered together on this historic day, united for the sake of Notre-Dame.

"We face many challenges that we must overcome together," he added.

As a reminder, in Paris at the Élysée Palace, French President Emmanuel Macron met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in a trilateral format. The meeting lasted 35 minutes.

It was reported that today, in Paris, a ceremony is taking place to reopen Notre-Dame Cathedral after the devastating fire five years ago. Leaders from about 40 countries have gathered for the event.
