Svenja Schulze, Germany’s Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, has arrived in Kyiv to deliver a "winter aid package."

The ministry announced this on the social platform X, Ukrinform reports.

"I have arrived in Ukraine today to deliver our winter aid package again. Russia has been bombarding Ukraine for over 1,000 days with the declared aim of targeting the energy infrastructure, leaving people in the cold and dark. This is unbearable for long periods. That's why we have mobilized additional resources to help restore electricity, energy, and heat supplies. This aid is arriving and urgently needed. It's vital for people's survival during the winter," the minister stated upon her arrival.

Schulze expressed her intention to assess the situation on the ground, determine further needs, and evaluate the utilization of German financial assistance.

As reported, Germany remains the largest humanitarian donor to Ukraine. According to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, it provided €1.6 billion in support from February 2022 to September 2024.
