Yermak, Trump's adviser discuss battlefield situation, mobilization in Ukraine

Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Andriy Yermak had a phone call with National Security Advisor to the U.S. President Michael Waltz to discuss the battlefield situation and the course of mobilization in Ukraine.

That’s according to the President’s Office website, Ukrinform reports.

“This is the first conversation after the appointment of Michael Waltz. Andriy Yermak spoke about the situation on the battlefield and the course of mobilization in Ukraine,” the statement says.

Yermak emphasized that it is crucial for Ukraine to continue to receive support from international partners, especially the United States, as Ukraine's strong position is key to achieving a just and lasting peace, as well as to the security of Europe and the world.

Separately, Yermak and Waltz discussed the need to arrange personal contacts between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States in the near future.

The parties agreed to maintain constant dialog to inform about the battlefield situation, current events and challenges facing Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that lowering the conscription age was not a priority. According to him, it is necessary to focus on providing existing brigades with equipment and training personnel to use this equipment.
