President Volodymyr Zelensky said the talks between the Ukraine and U.S. administrations have become substantive; in particular, a schedule of meetings is being prepared.

The head of the Ukrainian state announced this in his address to the nation on Tuesday, Ukrinform reports with reference to the President’s website.

"Our teams have already started talking substantively, the teams from Ukraine and the United States: today, the head of my Office Andriy Yermak spoke with Michael Waltz, and we are drafting a schedule of meetings," he said.

Zelensky added that today, he had a conversation with the Prime Minister of Australia. According to the president, the most important thing that was discussed was new steps to pressure Russia regarding the war, pressure them toward a just peace.

"We preserve our unity, global unity, and this really reduces Russia's ability to continue this mad, criminal aggression, Russia's aggression against Ukraine," the head of state noted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak discussed the need to organize personal contacts between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States in the near future during a phone conversation with U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Waltz.
