Zelensky: Putin’s biggest desire is for U.S. to "exit" this battle
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this during a press briefing at the Munich Security Conference, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
"This is very dangerous for everyone, including for the USA. Europe understands that they are very close and that it's one continent. Putin’s hands will reach them anyway. Without the USA, this could happen faster; with the USA, everything might be the opposite," Zelensky emphasized.
The President highlighted the importance of Europe, stressing that Europe will, in any case, increase its solidarity with Ukraine.
"We talk about different kinds of support because this will be their defense. They (Europeans) understand today that they could be next, and they must not allow this. If the war stretches across Ukraine, they are still allowing it — it’s just not today, tomorrow, or in 10 years, or 5 years. They are not protected. This is a great danger, and everyone understands that we must stop Putin. The sooner, the better. And they must support Ukraine as strongly as possible because that will make Europe safer," Zelensky added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Zelensky stated that his talk with Trump was positive but definitely not enough to formulate a detailed peace plan.
