“I am proud to be here in Kyiv on the third anniversary of Putin’s invasion. I salute the continuing heroism of the Ukrainian people in resisting a vile act of unprovoked aggression and I categorically reject the bizarre untruths currently being peddled about the origins of that war,” Johnson said.
The former British prime minister urged people to keep their cool and look at the facts of the United States' continued support for Ukraine under Donald Trump. Johnson emphasized that he remains convinced that Ukraine will have a great future as a free, sovereign and independent nation.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Kyiv on the morning of February 24, the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. The leaders of the Baltic States, Europe, and Canada also arrived.
