Starmer is the second European leader to meet with the U.S. President this week. On Monday, French President Emmanuel Macron visited the White House and discussed, among other topics, ending Russia’s war in Ukraine.
As reported by Ukrinform, before his visit to Washington, Keir Starmer called on the United States to provide a "protective mechanism" for any future European peacekeepers in Ukraine. He emphasized that such a measure would ensure lasting peace for Ukraine rather than just a temporary ceasefire with Russia.
