Ukrainian foreign minister to pay working visit to India

On March 17-19, Minister for Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha of Ukraine will be on a working visit to the Republic of India.

This was reported by MFA Ukraine’s press service, Ukrinform saw.

"In New Delhi, bilateral talks are scheduled between the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, as well as other senior Indian officials," the report says.

The main purpose of the visit will be Minister Sybiha’s participation in Raisina Dialogue, one of Asia’s largest geopolitical forums.

On the sidelines of the conference, Andrii Sybiha is expected to hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers from several countries across South and Southeast Asia and Africa.

As part of the visit, the Minister will also travel to Mumbai, where he will hold a series of meetings aimed at expanding interregional economic cooperation between Ukraine and India. He will also participate as the guest of honour in a special Ukraine-India business forum.

Key topics of discussion will include promoting a just peace in Ukraine and India’s role in this process, strengthening bilateral Ukraine-India cooperation, and enhancing Ukraine’s ties with Indo-Pacific nations.

Additionally, discussions will focus on expanding Ukraine’s diplomatic presence in South Asia, increasing trade, and facilitating Ukrainian exporters’ access to Asian markets.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council via video link on March 17.
