Zelensky: EU accession talks slow down due to single country's stance
The head of state announced this during a joint press point with Czech President Petr Pavel in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, some negotiations on EU accession have slowed down now, and this is due to the blocking by representatives of a single country of all the work being done by Ukraine and all other European Union member states. We believe the European Union needs more unity, more speed, more opportunities to deliver on what has been promised," Zelensky said.
He stressed that Ukraine is fulfilling its part of obligations regarding EU accession.
As reported, Hungary, using the principle of unanimity for decisions on EU enlargement, is blocking the process of launching negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
