
President appoints new governor of Kyiv region

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Mykola Kalashnyk as the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
The decree to that effect, No. 176/2025, was published on the president's official website, Ukrinform reports.
"To appoint Mykola Volodymyrovych Kalashnyk as the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration," the document states.

On December 30, 2024, Zelensky dismissed Ruslan Kravchenko as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
On March 11, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Kalashnyk's appointment. Prior to this, he had been serving as acting head of the administration following Kravchenko's dismissal.
