France joins Agreement on Special Tribunal – FM Sybiha

France has officially confirmed its intention to join the agreement on the Management Committee of the Special Tribunal.

This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

“I am grateful to France for officially confirming its intent to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the Management Committee of the Special Tribunal. Already 18 Council of Europe member states are in. The agreement will be put to a vote of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers in May,” the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said.

He called on all states – both within and outside the Council of Europe – to join this historic process. Sybiha emphasized that for the first time since the Nuremberg Trials, Ukraine is working to ensure justice for the crime of aggression, and that this process will have a profound significance for the entire international community.

As previously reported, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha earlier said that Iceland and Poland had also expressed readiness to join the agreement on establishing the Special Tribunal.
