Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held talks with European Council President Antonio Costa on the involvement of European countries in future peace negotiations.

Zelensky said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Thank you very much for supporting our state and our people. We discussed in detail the prospects of the negotiation process for peace for Ukraine and all of Europe," Zelensky said.

He also informed Costa about recent contacts with various European leaders as well as with the United States.

"We both agree that Europe must be involved in the negotiations. It is important for it to have a strong voice and presence in this process, and it is worth determining who will represent Europe specifically," Zelensky said.
