Kuleba says he will cooperate with investigation into legality of his assets
Kuleba made the statement in a comment to Ukrinform.
"In connection with the information regarding the filing of a lawsuit, I would like to note that I am the defendant in this case and that I respect the procedures established by law, as well as the authority of law enforcement and judicial bodies. At the same time, I believe it is important to emphasize that this concerns a civil court proceeding regarding the assessment of the legality of the origin of assets, not a criminal investigation or the bringing of charges. Final conclusions in the case should be made exclusively by the court after a comprehensive examination of all evidence and circumstances," Kuleba said.
He stressed that throughout his public service he has acted transparently and has not concealed his income, property, or any other information subject to declaration requirements. According to him, all necessary information has been properly disclosed in official declarations and remains publicly accessible.
"I am fully open to cooperation, ready to provide all necessary explanations, and willing to assist in a comprehensive, thorough, and objective review of the case. I am convinced that the legal assessment should be based solely on facts, documents, and the requirements of the law, and that the decision should be made by the court after examining all materials of the case," Kuleba emphasized.
As Ukrinform previously reported, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit seeking to have assets acquired by Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba declared unjustified and transferred to state ownership.
