Ukraine to cooperate with Israel in creating educational online platform

Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Liliya Hrynevych said this during a meeting with Chairman of the joint Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Environmental Protection Minister of Israel Zeev Elkin, the press service of the Education and Science Ministry reported.

"We need an electronic platform for fully support of the education reform. It is very important for us to support teachers and provide them with interactive online materials that will help them use qualitatively the teaching methods. This platform should also play an important role in increasing the access of children from rural areas to quality education," Hrynevych noted.

According to the minister, such platform has been developed in Israel for a long time. At the moment, Ukraine is looking for opportunities to implement the project, within which the Israeli side will help to transfer ready-made solutions from its platform to the Ukrainian one.

The minister also added that the state budget for the next year included about UAH 54 million for the purchase of equipment for the platform and its support.
