Facebook most popular social networking site in Ukraine

The most popular social networking site in Ukraine is Facebook, which is used by 35.5% of Ukrainians, Deputy Director of Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) Anton Hrushetsky has said.
He stated this during the presentation of a survey entitled "Trust in the media, the influence of Russian propaganda, media literacy in Ukraine" at Ukrinform on March 27.

"According to our survey, 23.5% of people get information from social media. The most popular among them is Facebook, which is used by 35.5% of Ukrainians. It is followed by VKontakte (11.3%), Instagram (9.6%), Odnoklassniki (7.2%), Twitter (5.6%) and LinkedIn (0.5%). More than half of the population (52.4%) say they do not use social networking sites at all," Hrushetsky said.
At the same time, 29% of Ukrainians use only Western social networking sites, first of all, Facebook, and 3% of respondents prefer exclusively Russian social media.
