New temperature records set in Kyiv

Two temperature records were set in the city of Kyiv at the weekend, according to the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Borys Sreznevskyi.
“On April 15, the record high air temperature was observed in Kyiv. The temperature rose to + 24.2 ° C in the afternoon, which is 0.1 °С higher than the previous historical temperature record set in 1972,” the Central Geophysical Observatory said.
Also, the night of April 16 was the warmest in Kyiv since 1881, the temperature did not fall below + 12.8 °С, which is 1.0 °С higher than the previous historical temperature record set in 1889.
