Snow falls in Ukraine’s Carpathian mountains

In the morning of May 7, 2019, snow fell in Verkhovyna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Chairman of the Verkhovyna District Council Ivan Shkindiuk posted a video on Facebook, showing roads covered with snow.
As noted, a storm warning was announced in the Carpathians on May 7. Heavy rain and wind gusts of 15-20 m / s are expected in western regions of Ukraine, snow and rain mixed – in the Carpathians. Road visibility is limited.
On the night of May 8-9, ground frosts of 0°C… -3°C are expected in western regions. On May 7-9, weather forecasters warn of air frost of 0°C… -3°C in the Carpathian mountains.
