Ukrainian scientist gets prestigious award for contribution to development of physics

Ukrainian scientist Lesya Shchutska has received a prize from the European Physical Society, according to the Ukrainian Interest news site.
The award was given to the Ukrainian scientists "for her exceptional contribution to experimental activities in particle physics, from the designing and modeling of new experiments, operations and test beam analysis to the analysis of data and their final theoretical interpretations."
Shchutska is a Ukrainian scientist from Vinnytsia who currently runs the Laboratory for High Energy Physics at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL).
Two years ago, she won a grant from the European Research Council to conduct research using the capabilities of the Large Hadron Collider.
