SBI probes possible abuse of power by Lutsenko

Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has instituted criminal proceedings on the basis of a statement filed by a people's deputy regarding the possible abuse of power by former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, SBI spokesperson Anzhelika Ivanova has told Ukrinform.
"The SBI has opened a criminal case on the basis of a statement by a current people's deputy about a possible criminal offense committed by a former prosecutor general, namely abuse of office by promoting illegal gambling," she said.

Ivanova added that the case had been opened under Part 1 of Article 364 (abuse of power and office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
