Ukrinform
Issues of preserving Ukrainian cultural heritage sites in Russian-annexed Crimea remain key priorities for cooperation between the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and UNESCO.

The Krym. Realii portal reported this with reference to the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

“Since the beginning of the occupation of Crimea by Russia, the UNESCO Executive Board at the initiative of Ukraine has already adopted 10 decisions on monitoring the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine), which confirm the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine; and the Crimean issue is one of the priority issues of UNESCO’s activities,” the report says.

Earlier, UNESCO issued a regular report of the Director-General of Organization on the situation in the temporary occupied Crimea in the fields of education, science, culture, dissemination of information and media development, indicating further deterioration of the situation on the peninsula.

The report will be considered at the 207th session of the UNESCO Executive Board to be held in Paris from October 9 to 23, 2019.
