Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius visited the children's resource center for inclusive education in the Shevchenkivsky district of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on December 26, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine has reported on Facebook.
"Blessed Metropolitan Epiphanius visited the students of the resource center for inclusive education in the Shevchenkivsky district of Kyiv, where children with special educational needs receive preschool and general secondary education. He consecrated the institution and blessed its teachers and students for a good start of the new year," the report reads.
According to the report, school students sang a song for St. Nicholas and even performed a dance.
The children received sweet gifts from Epiphanius, drank tea with him, and shared with the Metropolitan their thoughts and plans for the future.
