Ukraine and Japan hold second round of cybersecurity consultations
The press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in Japan reported this following the second round of Ukraine-Japanese cybersecurity consultations, which took place in Tokyo on January 23, 2020.
"The parties exchanged views on the current situation in cyberspace and specific measures in the field of cybersecurity and identified future areas of cooperation. Ukraine and Japan reaffirmed their commitment to promoting an open, interoperable, reliable, and secure cyberspace and to enhancing bilateral cybersecurity cooperation to combat cyberthreats of mutual concern," the report reads.
The Ukrainian side was represented by Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Serhii Demediuk, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Yehor Bozhok and other representatives from the relevant ministries and agencies. The Japanese side was represented by Mr. Takeshi Akahori, Deputy Assistant Minister for Foreign Policy, Ambassador for International Security Policy and Cyber Policy, and other representatives from the relevant ministries and agencies.
