
Kyiv records 222 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city recorded 222 new coronavirus cases on August 19, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page.
"The capital has confirmed 222 coronavirus cases in the past day. No lethal cases from the virus have been reported. In total, 5,264 people have died from the coronavirus in Kyiv since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number of confirmed cases has reached 222,050,” Klitschko wrote.
Among people who have fallen ill with COVID-19 are 130 women aged 19-86 years, 84 men aged 20-85 years, 5 girls aged 10-17 years, and 3 boys aged 11-14 years.

At the same time, 148 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 214,541 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.
As reported, Ukraine recorded 1,600 new COVID-19 cases on August 19.
