"Today, about 9 million doses of the vaccine are already available in the country. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, we have delivered 18.5 million doses of the vaccine, plus more vaccines will be delivered soon," Liashko noted.

He called for vaccination right now, while there is no burden on the healthcare system. "Warm days are ending, a cold snap is approaching, and this will lead to an increase in acute respiratory viral infections," the minister said.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine received 650,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from Poland.

Ukraine will receive about 6.5 million doses of coronavirus vaccine in August and September.

On August 24, Ukraine recorded 727 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,276,590.
