Nearly 134,000 people get COVID-19 shots in Ukraine on Sept 6

Nearly 134,000 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on September 6, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"As many as 133,922 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, on September 6, 2021. Some 37,380 people received their first dose, and 96,542 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.

According to the ministry, 882 mobile vaccination teams, 2,827 vaccination sites, and 338 vaccination centers were operating across the country in the past day.

A total of 9,923,423 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched a vaccination campaign, with 5,618,796 people receiving their first dose and 4,304,627 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).

Some 41,787 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on September 5.
