Kyiv reports 379 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths

Kyiv city recorded 379 new coronavirus cases on September 8, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Some 379 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the capital over the past day. Two people have died. Overall, 5,295 lethal cases have been recorded in the capital since the start of the pandemic. The total number of confirmed cases has reached 226,726,” the mayor’s press service cited Klitschko as saying.

At the same time, 249 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 217,700 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 3,663 new COVID-19 cases on September 8.
