COVID-19 in Kyiv: Klitschko says 495 new cases, 39 deaths reported Oct 31

In the past 24 hours, as of November 1, a total of 495 new coronavirus patients were reported in Kyiv, while thirty-nine people died from the coronavirus.

That’s according to a Facebook post by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

"The capital saw 495 confirmed coronavirus cases in the past day. Thirty-nine people died. In total, throughout the pandemic period, Kyiv recorded 6,208 coronavirus-related deaths. There have been 259,797 confirmed COVID-19 cases to date," Klitschko said.

Among those who contracted the virus in the past day were 276 women aged 18 to 94 years and 198 men aged 18 to 93 years, as well as 13 girls from two days to 17 years of age and eight boys from five to 17 years of age.

Among those who succumbed to the virus were 20 female patients aged 38 to 89 and 19 males aged 46 to 86.

Eighty-eight patients with coronavirus and 235 persons with suspected COVID-19 and pneumonia were admitted to Kyiv hospitals in the past 24 hours.

246 people recovered in the past day. A total of 229,446 capital residents have recovered from the coronavirus.

"The highest number of cases was detected in Obolonskyi district (122), Dniprovskyi district (115), and Sviatoshynskyi district (88)," Vitaliy Klitschko said.
