Emine Dzheppar wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
In particular, Emine Dzheppar informed Ernesto Ottone that “UNESCO World Heritage Sites and other cultural objects in Crimea are being barbarically treated by the Russian occupiers.” She also called for joint efforts within existing mechanisms to protect these sites.
The Ukrainian deputy foreign minister also wrote that she acquainted Ottone with the process of reforming the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO. She also added she hopes that Ornek, a traditional ornament in the applied arts of the Crimean Tatars, would be included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity this year.
As Ukrinform reported, on November 9, Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko took part in the opening of the 41st session of the UNESCO General Conference in Paris.
