Almost 84% of educators in Ukraine fully vaccinated against COVID-19 – Shkarlet

Almost 84% of educators in Ukraine have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to Education Minister Serhiy Shkarlet.

“More than 544,000 school employees or almost 84% of the total number of secondary school employees have been vaccinated. At least one vaccine dose has been given to 96.1% of school employees who have responded responsibly to the epidemiological situation in the country,” Shkarlet wrote on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According him, the highest percentage of educators now fully vaccinated were recorded among educators in Luhansk region (92.4%), Kharkiv region (92.2%), and Cherkasy region (91.6%).

At the same time, the lowest vaccination rates among educators were recorded in Rivne, Ternopil and Zakarpattia regions.

The minister also noted that more than 11,000 schools across Ukraine would reopen on November 22
