Number of new COVID-19 cases decreased by 22% in past week – Liashko

The incidence of COVID-19 has been declining in Ukraine for the third week in a row.

Health Minister Viktor Liashko said this at a briefing on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"In Ukraine, the incidence of COVID-19 continues to decline for the third week in a row. Over the past week, the number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases dropped by 22%, hospitalizations - by 12%. The average daily mortality rate decreased by 14%. For the second week in a row, the average daily number of hospital discharges exceeds the number of hospitalizations by a quarter. Over the past week, the number of COVID patients has decreased by 14%,” Liashko said.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 5,804 new COVID-19 cases on November 28. As many as 3,427,827 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,920,714 have recovered, and 85,414 have died since the pandemic began.
