Half of Ukrainians against idea of early presidential elections

According to the poll, 33.8% support the idea of holding early presidential elections, half of those polled are against it, and 16.4% were undecided.

The idea of holding early presidential elections is most often supported by residents of the country's eastern regions and least often in the western regions. Young people under the age of 30 are less supportive of early elections than older voters. Low-income citizens support the idea of a snap presidential election more often.

At the same time, 37.8% of respondents supported the idea of holding early elections to the Verkhovna Rada, whereas 45.7% said they were against it. Some 16.5% of those polled were undecided.

The report presents data from a survey conducted by the Razumkov Centre's sociological service on October 14-20, 2021 in all regions of Ukraine, except for Crimea and the occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Some 2,018 respondents aged 18 and older were interviewed. The poll's margin of error does not exceed 2.3%.
