Almost 28M COVID-19 vaccine doses given in Ukraine

Almost 28 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Ukraine since the vaccination program started, the Ministry of Health has said on Facebook.

"As many as 117,222 people in Ukraine were vaccinated against COVID-19 on December 24. Some 37,505 people received their first dose, 78,821 people were fully immunized, 529 people received an additional dose, and 367 people were revaccinated," the statement said.

Since the launch of the vaccination program, 14,563,973 people received their first dose, 13,352,303 were fully immunized and received both doses, 1,811 people got an additional dose, and 367 people were revaccinated. A total of 27,918,454 doses have been administered.

As was reported earlier, 5,276 new COVID-19 cases were identified in Ukraine on December 24.
