Almost 10,000 Ukrainians will see in New Year on trains – Ukrzaliznytsia

About 10,000 Ukrainians will celebrate the New Year on trains, Ukraine's state rail operator Ukrzaliznytsia has said.
"On New Year's Eve, about 10,000 passengers will be traveling on 86 trains of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia," the statement said.
The company recalled that 17 additional passenger trains would run during the New Year and Christmas holidays. Another two trains had their routes extended, and four trains will run more frequently than usual.
According to the statement, the company recorded a 20% increase in ticket sales compared to the 2020/2021 season on the peak dates of winter traffic: December 29 and 30 in 2021 and January 2, 8 and 9 in 2022.
In addition, more passengers are traveling by train to the resorts of the Ukrainian Carpathians: Tatariv (Bukovel), Vorokhta, Yaremche and Yasinia, Ukrzaliznytsia added.
