Kyiv mayor calls on Ukrainian, foreign business to help city amid military threat
The mayor said this at a briefing on February 14, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"At this critical moment for the Ukrainian state, when we are uniting our efforts to defend our cities, to defend the country from possible large-scale aggression by Russia, I would like to appeal to representatives of Ukrainian and foreign business. Today your enhanced support is important to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure in case of emergency, to better equip reservists, and to meet the needs of people in the event of an attack on our country,” Klitschko said.
He called on Kyiv residents, Ukrainian patriots, who want to help their city and their country, to apply to Kyiv’s municipal security department. "We are working and will do everything to ensure the functioning of the city in a critical situation and protect its residents," Klitschko said.
As Ukrinform reported, Kyiv’s critical and social infrastructure facilities are operating in a mode of preparations for work in the event of possible emergencies.
