More than 510,000 Ukrainians return from abroad since start of Russian invasion
That’s according to Andriy Demchenko, a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, who spoke with Ukrinform.
"In total, more than 510,000 Ukrainian citizens have crossed in since February 24. Most of them, about 75-80%, are men," the spokesman said.
It was reported that from February 24 to March 24, a total of nearly 3.2 million people crossed the Ukrainian border in both directions.
On February 24, on the instructions of Russian President Putin, Russian troops began a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian forces have been shelling and bombing key infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages, using artillery, rockets, and missiles.
The whole nation rose up to fight off the invaders; the Armed Forces and the Territorial Defense halted the enemy's offensive and inflicted heavy losses on the occupiers.
