Each participant at high risk: Russian invaders disperse another rally in Kherson
The relevant statement was made by Kherson Regional Council Deputy Head Yurii Sobolevskyi on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today, near Yuvileinyi Cinema and Concert Hall in Kherson, a peaceful rally dedicated to the memory for the victims of the Russian aggression has been held. As expected, Russian occupiers dispersed it,” the report states.
The threats of violence, terror, lies, humanitarian catastrophe is what the Russian aggressor brought to Kherson Region. Many people are frightened; many have left the region at their own risk; many have simply disappeared, and it is impossible to find out what has happened to them. Every new rally is a high risk for each participant, but people keep taking to the streets. No matter what, Kherson is Ukraine, Sobolevskyi stressed.
A reminder that Russian troops continue to abduct civilians in Kherson Region, including journalists, heads of local communities, deputies, local activists.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages, torturing and murdering civilians.
