To this testified a statement by Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Defense Management Center, Ukrinform reports with reference to Interfax.
The official said that 11,550 people, including 1,847 children, had been "evacuated" to Russia over the past 24 hours. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, their number has grown to 1,092,137, of which 196,356 are children.
Mizintsev also assured that over the last day, 103 Ukrainians allegedly filed appeals for evacuation to Russia, the “DPR,” and “LPR,” as well as the areas of Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russian defense officials said more than 951,000 Ukrainians had been deported to Russia since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
