The charitable foundation, Rescue Now UA, has filmed an inspiring video about the life of those who stayed in the city of Kharkiv amid the war.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Culture and Information Policy Ministry on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The charitable foundation, Rescue Now UA, providing aid to civilians in eastern Ukraine, has filmed an inspiring video about the life of those who stayed in the city of Kharkiv amid the war. The main objective was to show Kharkiv residents not because of pity but because of their determination and desire to endure no matter what. Together with a team of like-minded people and a professional music band, the foundation has created a story about Kharkiv’s heroic residents, who stayed in the city despite regular shelling by Russian troops,” the report states.

In order to convey and emphasize the invincibility of Kharkiv residents, the video features the world-famous song Stayin’ Alive but in a new, more lyrical arrangement. Kharkiv’s music community supported the idea, and more than 20 musicians came to the filming location.

A reminder that 21 out of 56 territorial communities in Kharkiv Region are remaining under Russian occupation, which is 30.1% of the region’s total area. Hostilities are underway in Izium District and Derhachi District.
