British Ambassador after visiting Bucha: Residents have been through hell
“I visited Bucha today. Residents have been through hell. I visited a mass grave. Talked with parents and children. Kids talked of sirens and shootings. Discussed renewal with the mayor. And justice with the prosecutors. Proud British humanitarian assistance is helping,” the diplomat posted on Twitter.

As reported, Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel and the entire Kyiv region were liberated from Russian invaders in early April. Mass killings of civilians by Russian troops have been recorded in liberated towns and villages.
On April 8, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative Josep Borrell visited Bucha, where numerous signs of serious crimes against humanity committed by the Russian military, including civilian killings, torture and rape, were discovered. Following this visit, the European Commission President instructed the European Commissioner for Justice to support and coordinate the investigation into these crimes at the EU level.
