$100,000 donated in Krakow through United24 for children's hospitals in Ukraine
The Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
On July 23, Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek held a charity match in support of Ukraine at the TAURON Arena stadium in Krakow.
The referee of the match was Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina.
The guest of honor was football player Andriy Shevchenko.
Following the match, a charity auction was held within the framework of the United24 platform, where Polish and Ukrainian athletes put up their lots, the proceeds of which will be used to support Ukraine.
The wife of the President of Poland, Agata Duda, also provided her jewelry for sale at the auction.
During the charity event on behalf of the Jonson Family and the New York Jets Foundation, a check for $100,000 was given to United24 ambassadors Svitolina and Shevchenko to help children's hospitals in Ukraine.
Vice Consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow, Iryna Yaremchuk, thanked Polish tennis player Swiatek, the Jonson Family and the entire United24 team for their contribution to helping Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
