Zelensky signs law to strengthen protection of critical infrastructure
That's according to the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, Ukrinform reports.
In accordance with the law, the service will exercise the powers of an authorized body for the protection of Ukraine's critical infrastructure during martial law and within 12 months after it is terminated or cancelled.
According to Yurii Shchyhol, the head of the service, work is currently underway to create a list of critical infrastructure facilities. A register of critical information infrastructure facilities will also be formed.
"This will make it possible to analyze the level of their security and strengthen stability where necessary, more effectively identify threats and prevent them, ensure constant and reliable protection of such objects," he said.
According to him, the service has all the necessary tools, technical base and sufficient personnel potential for effective performance of the new tasks assigned to it.
The Verkhovna Rada in October adopted a law introducing amendments to certain laws of Ukraine regarding the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of protection of critical infrastructure.
