Ukraine receives ambulances purchased with funds raised at charity event in Britain
"We received such beauty, we are just delighted. We thank the embassies of Estonia and Ukraine in Great Britain for them which organized a charity event and agreed that the raised funds would be used to purchase ambulances. Actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Jude Law urged to support the initiative at the event. We managed to collect GBP 90,000, and as a result, received as many as three such vehicles," the Ministry of Health of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
The ambulances are adapted to work in difficult conditions and will be able to drive and save lives where ordinary vehicles would not be able to cope.
The Ministry thanked Estonia and its embassy, as well as all friends of Ukraine for "not getting tired of helping."
The Ministry of Health expressed special thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK.
As reported, the government of Serbia handed over two ambulances to Ukraine at the end of November. Kharkiv and Cherkasy emergency centers will receive new ambulances.
